MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Mitchell PTA uses the funds it raises to not only plan fun activities throughout the year, but also finance meaningful field trips, in-classroom technology, on-campus improvements, and learning spaces.

​Here's a small glimpse into some of our most recent contributions:

2019-2020 School Year

• $5,650 to fund creative arts enrichment programs during school.
• $13,925 to fund 2019-2020 school field trips

2018-2019 School Year

• $13,500 to fund 2018-2019 field trips.
• $8,000 to fund on-campus assemblies to promote anti-bullying and a love for STEM-based subjects. Plus, we brought in an end-of-the-year "fun" assembly featuring the thrilling riders of the BMX Bike Team, who shared their death-defying tricks coupled with lessons for success on practicing good health, setting goals and being respectful.
• $3,000 to fund a new Smart Cast TV for our Maker Space (an on-campus, STEAM-based learning space)
• $13,000 for a full new set of Google Chromebooks and accompanying cart.
